Barrington native to perform July 24 with string sextet

Barrington's White House welcomes perennial White House favorite Stephanie Block back to the third floor ballroom to perform with a string sextet at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24.

Formed in the midst of the pandemic by friends and colleagues from Los Angeles and Miami, Barrington native Stephanie Block brings together this group of world-class musicians, all of whom are graduates of major conservatories, including Juilliard and Indiana University.

Featuring Dylan Naroff, violin; Michael Turkell, violin; Stephanie Block, viola; Emily Williams, viola; Nicholas Mariscal, cello; and Ben Fried, cello, this group includes members of the Milwaukee, Fort Worth, and New World symphonies.

The sextet will perform Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht and Brahms' String Sextet No. 2 in G Major, both of which are considered masterworks of the 19th century.
