See Trucks 'Roll Through' Rolling Meadows

Trucks of all shapes and sizes are set to take over the streets of Rolling Meadows!

Hosted by the Rolling Meadows Park District, Trucks Rolling Through begins at noon Friday, July 16. The parade will make two rounds, beginning and ending at the Community Center, 3705 Pheasant Drive. Trucks featured in the parade include everything from fire and police vehicles to cement mixers and tractors. The full parade route will go from the Community Center to Grouse Lane to Meadow Drive to Campbell Street to Cardinal Drive to Owl Drive to Central Road to Jay Lane to Grouse Lane to Meadow Drive.

"Last summer our annual Touch-a-Truck event went mobile to accommodate COVID-19 guidelines and the result was a huge success," said Recreation Supervisor Kailey Schwartzhoff. "We thought we would continue that success with another parade showcasing unique vehicles from the community for truck enthusiasts and kids of all ages to enjoy!"

A sensory-friendly portion of the parade with no horns or sirens will take place from Grouse Lane to Meadow Drive until the parade reaches Kirchoff Road.

The Mission of the Rolling Meadows Park District is to provide opportunities for individual growth and community connections through parks and recreation.
