Naperville's Our Saviour's named one of the 'Most Generous Congregations' by ELCA World Hunger

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Naperville continued their commitment to walking alongside mission partners both domestically and abroad.

Pastor Brian Wise, director of missions and outreach at Our Saviour's, states, "Our Saviour's has over 16 mission partners that we walk alongside both domestically and globally. Part of our missional goals is to reflect Jesus parable of the talents, we know that we could bury our gift and safely tuck it away for a rainy day but Christ reminds us how blessed we have been and to give it all away trusting in God's ability to multiply! We celebrate the love and generosity from our community, especially during this pandemic."

Our Saviour's was recently recognized by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America World Hunger organization as of the top 156 most generous congregations. As of 2020, there were a total of 8,900 congregations within the ELCA.

"It is an honor to be part of a faith community that is committed to serving others with generous hearts and a commitment to Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known," says Senior Pastor John Gerike.

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church is a vibrant faith community that has been an integral part of the Naperville Community for over 60 years. To learn more about Our Saviour's Church, please visit www.oursaviours.com.
