Bensenville to celebrate 'Libertyfest' with fireworks, music July 4

With COVID-19 cases trending downwards in the community, the village of Bensenville has announced the return of its Independence Day celebration.

Enjoy live entertainment, food, drinks, and a fireworks show during "Libertyfest" from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at the Redmond Recreational Complex, 545 John St., Bensenville. Musical entertainment begins with DJ M.B. Entertainment at 6 p.m. followed by a live performance from Simply Elton, an Elton John tribute, at 7:30 p.m.

To wrap up the night, a spectacular fireworks display will be launched from the Bensenville Public Works facility beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m.

While an Independence Day Parade will not be included in the Fourth of July celebrations this year, the village looks forward to hosting one next year.

Food and beer will be available for purchase from 6 to 9:30 p.m. No outside alcohol or grills allowed.

Parking is available in and around Redmond Park. Handicap parking will be located in the lot on John Street Rink while space is available. General parking lots will be located off Jefferson and George streets, as well as nearby streets that allow parking.
