Lombard Park District offers new programs, golf specials this summer

Lombard Park District is introducing new activities, programs and events this summer.

Registration is under way for activities in the 2021 Summer Activity Guide, including summer camps, athletics, early childhood, special events and more.

The Summer Activity Guide is available now at lombardparks.com/activity-guide/.

"We have so many activities and events this season for all ages," said Katie Manheim, program manager. "There is a lot to look forward to this summer, with returning favorites and new programs for everyone to enjoy!"

Special events include the popular "Movies in the Park," beginning Wednesday, June 16, at a new location this year, Madison Meadows, Madison Street and Ahrens Avenue. Enjoy an evening under the stars as you watch some of your favorite stars on the big screen.

Preregistration is required as families will be given a dedicated 10-foot by 10-foot space in the park.

"Movies in the Park will open with 2020 animated comedy "Trolls World Tour" on June 16. It will continue on June 30 with the 2019 adventure comedy film "Wonder Park," on July 14 with the 1997 sports comedy "Air Bud," and on July 28 with the 2018 animated superhero film "Incredibles 2." The final movie will be the 2009 animated comedy-drama adventure film "Up!" on Aug. 11.

The Lombard Golf Course is open for the season and is in full swing. Visit the golf course Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to take advantage of the midday special, $10 green fees.
