Wild Rose Elementary dedicates library to former principal Robert Allison

On Wednesday, May 19, students, staff, and families from Wild Rose Elementary School in St. Charles joined Maura Allison and her children at a ceremony to dedicate the Wild Rose Learning Resource Center to former principal Dr. Robert Allison.

Students read excerpts from some of his favorite books to remember Dr. Allison as someone who loved books, students, and school.

St. Charles Unit District 303 art teachers Rebecca Hubbs and Lauren Kruse created a mural on the walls outside the Learning Resource Center representing some of his favorite books.

The Geneva resident was planning to retire at the end of the 2019-2020 school year when he passed away in November 2019.

Dr. Allison was a bright spot in the district for more than 21 years, having served as principal at both Norton Creek and Wild Rose elementary schools, and Director of Instruction and Assistant Superintendent in the district office.
