Indian Trails Library to host COVID-19 vaccine event

The Indian Trails Public Library, 355 Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling, will host a COVID vaccination site from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 20. The single-dose Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine will be given.

Registration is strongly recommended by calling (847) 459-4100, ext. 1, or by visiting the library in person prior to the event. The vaccine will be available to adults, 18 years and older. No ID is required and there are no residency restrictions. The vaccine is free.

"We have been working to get a vaccine clinic at the library because we know many people have had difficulty getting access to the COVID vaccine," said Brian Shepard, the library's executive director. "By offering a location that is centrally located and has the space to hold such an event, we hope residents who want the vaccine will register for the clinic."

This event is co-partnered with the Illinois Department of Public Health.
