Aurora's Temple B'nai Israel reopens for in-person worship May 14

Temple B'nai Israel in Aurora will reopen for in-person worship services Friday, May 14, at the synagogue, 400 N. Edgelawn Drive.

Rabbi Edward Friedman announced services for Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 15, at 9 a.m. (traditional service).

Meetings will be held in the sanctuary. The chapel remains closed.

"Shabbat Under the Stars," an outdoor service, will be led by Rabbi Friedman at 7 p.m. Friday, June 4.

Centers for Disease Control guidelines will be followed. All congregants entering the temple must wear a mask and social distance. Temple B'nai Israel evaluates pandemic protocols for participants' safety. This will be an ongoing Friday event, weather permitting.
