John Lawrence to manage Elmhurst office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago
Diane Glass, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, is pleased to announce that John Lawrence, managing broker of the Oak Park and River Forest offices, has been promoted and will also lead the firm's Elmhurst office located at 210 N. York St.

An accomplished manager, John created his own successful brokerage and is highly regarded among agents who appreciate his sage counsel and great ideas. John's family has lived in Oak Park-River Forest for almost 100 years. Born and raised there, he attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, but returned to launch his career and start his own family. John was a middle school teacher and high school basketball coach before starting his own highly successful brokerage.
John is a community-wide business leader with strong ethics and deep compassion. He's been recognized by a number of organizations for his dedication to his field and community. For the Oak Park Area Association of Realtors, he served as president from 2016-2018, vice president from 2014-2016, treasurer from 2012-2014, was Realtor of the Year in 2013 and received the Walter R. James Community Service Award in 2012. He served as a member of the board of directors from 2008 to 2020.
For the Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce, John was president from 2012-2013, vice president from 2010-2011, and received the George Lytle Award for Dedication and Service in 2014. He received the Presidential Leadership Award in 2015. John served as a member of the board of directors from 2009-2014 and again in 2019. John is also involved in Opportunity Knocks where he was Director of the Year in 2012 and has been a member of the board of directors since 2011.
