Naperville real estate office donates $1,000 to Loaves and Fishes
The Naperville office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago and the firm's philanthropic arm, the Kindness Foundation, announced that they donated $1,000 to Loaves and Fishes Community Services in Naperville in December.
The money was part of a $40,000 pool to be donated to local food pantries in place of the company's annual holiday party. The Naperville office chose to support Loaves and Fishes because of their vision to end hunger and transform lives in Naperville and the surrounding communities.
Joe Stacy, senior vice president, general sales manager, Kindness Foundation chairman and Naperville office managing broker, said, "We are really proud to have supported Loaves and Fishes with this donation. The COVID pandemic has really amplified the need in so many communities, which makes the good work that food panties do vitally important. Helping the food insecure with nutritious meals is kindness in action and we thank Loaves and Fishes for all that they do."
The Naperville office was one of the company's nineteen participating offices throughout Chicagoland, as well as in Indiana and Michigan. Each office chose a 501(c)(3) organization from their local community to support and embody the mission of the Kindness Foundation which is to support meaningful local initiatives that improve the communities the company serves and enhances the quality of life for fellow citizens.
