Shop Fine Line gallery's Artisan Gift Sale for holiday finds

In-person shopping Dec. 4-7, then online through Dec. 13

Get your holiday shopping off to a great start by shopping at the Artisan Gift Sale at Fine Line, which takes place Friday Dec. 4, through Sunday, Dec. 13. Fine Line is home to a diverse community of highly skilled artists, reflected by the range of items at this sale. Here you will find many one-off items, as well as the more traditional items such as handwoven scarves, pottery, jewelry, and seasonal decorations.

Like many organizations, Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles has had to rethink and make changes to many regular events. While some organizations may have chosen to cancel events, the team at Fine Line felt that canceling their annual Artisan Gift Sale was not an option.

“Many of our artists have seen art fairs and shows that they usually participate in canceled this year. We felt it was important to give artists the best possible chance to sell work,” said Lynn Caldwell, Fine Line's Executive Director. “So, we have made changes to the event to ensure the safety of all participants and comply with current COVID guidelines.”

The first change will be opening night. For this year, the event is a ticketed event. Tickets cost $20 each and can be purchased on Fine Line's website (www.fineline.org) or by calling Fine Line at (630) 584-9443, during business hours. Each ticket purchased will receive a coupon for $20 that can only be used on Friday to offset purchases over $30 (not including tax). At the time of going to press, there were still some tickets available for sale.

In-person shopping will continue on Saturday, Dec. 5 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.); Sunday, Dec. 6 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.); and Monday, Dec. 7 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Fine Line will be monitoring attendees during these days, and when needed, will be restricting guest traffic to promote social distancing.

At 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, the Artisan Gift Sale will move to the Fine Line website, where shoppers can browse and make purchases until 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13. Online shoppers can take advantage of curbside pickup or domestic shipping options.

A new feature this year is the Taste of Fine Line Gift Boxes. These boxes will contain various handcrafted items from Fine Line artisans and can be purchased from 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, and will be shipped directly to your loved ones.

The Fine Line team hopes that the community will support this event by shopping local and small this holiday season. Fine Line Creative Arts Center, is at 37w570 Bolcum Road, St. Charles.
