Kiwanis Club of Naperville supports Project One Day

Kiwanis club members around the world gather on the fourth Saturday in October - a day set aside for clubs to work together to better their communities. It's also been a day when club members invite friends and family to join them in a project that can improve a community.

The Kiwanis Club of Naperville is in its 65th year of outstanding service in the western suburbs.

The club partnered with the Naperville Park District for three park beautification endeavors. Club members ventured into Veterans Park, Wildflower Park and Hobson West Park in order to clean and make each area more welcoming to both children and families alike.

"This is just another way we support the focus of our mission at Kiwanis dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time," club president Fred Jacobs said.

The Kiwanis Club of Naperville has supported fundraising events such as The Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast and Peanut Days.

"We hope to again announce shortly our plans for events in 2021," Jacobs said. "Before the pandemic, our members supported over 10,000 hours of volunteer service while providing service and/or donations to 25 plus local organizations.
