Libertyville realty office continues its 30-year Thanksgiving tradition

The Libertyville office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices announced that they donated 100 complete Thanksgiving dinners to area residents in need this Thanksgiving as they have done for the past 30 years.

Working with Woodman's Market at 27555 Route 120, Lakemoor, the agents and staff compiled individual boxes that contain everything for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, candied yams, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce and a pumpkin pie.

The boxes were delivered to township offices in Libertyville, Avon, Grant, Warren and Lake Villa for distribution to Lake County residents in need.

The office begins planning and accepting donations in October in preparation for the annual event.

Mark Pasquesi, president and designated managing broker of the Libertyville office, said, “This year, due to the COVID pandemic, we did things a little differently than we've done in the past. We continued to compile the dinner boxes outside, but spaced them out more as we prepared to fill them with all of the trimmings.”

Anne Hardy, associate managing broker, added, “Once each box was checked for all of the items, a Happy Thanksgiving note from the office was added. Boxes were then loaded into cars and volunteers delivered them to the township offices for distribution. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving despite the unusual circumstances this year.”
