Hanover Township approves $5,000 for Journeys: The Road Home

The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved $5,000 in capital funding to Journeys: The Road Home during its virtual meeting on Oct. 27.

The funds will be used to support Journeys' construction of a new two-story facility for critical supportive services for the homeless. It also will include permanent supportive housing.

The next meeting of the Mental Health Board will take place at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the town hall, 250 S. Route 59 in Bartlett.

The volunteer Mental Health Board advocates for increasing the availability and quality of mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services by allocating funds to nonprofit agencies that provide services to township residents.
