Passion Projects Theatre Company will present Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's "Into The Woods" for live audiences at 7 p.m. Friday to Sunday, Oct. 9-11, at the Wing Park Bandshell, 1010 Wing St. in Elgin.

Directed by Passion Projects co-founder Kyle Reid Hass, this production has been carefully planned so its rehearsal and performance process will minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 for its cast, crew, and audience.

The cast of "Into the Woods" features Lexie Bailey, Mae Speer, Jeremy Swanton, Frank Caputo, Marina Magnelli, Shannon McGraw, Rhealee Fernandez, Dana Norris, Kyle Reid Hass, Johnny Rabe, Dan England, Aaron Hill, Keith Mankowski, Kailey Henderson, and Laura Thoresen.

This production will take a dark and contemporary look at the classic musical, striving to emphasize the profound and often chilling statements the piece makes about topics such as desire, happiness, crisis, family, growing up, and caring for children.

Tickets are $25 each.

As we continue to navigate the changes COVID-19 has brought to the world of live theater, Passion Projects Theatre Company would like to provide the performing arts community, friends, and family with a bit of hope and fun. They have been working hard to plan a safe, socially-distant theatrical experience at the Wing Park Bandshell.

Along with agreeing to maintain social distancing and wearing a mask that covers the nose and mouth at all times, patrons will also sign the awareness and consent form which can be found at tiny.cc/t1wxsz. Either print and sign now, or we can provide you with one on sight when you arrive.
