Meadowdale, Motorsports & Memories Car Show returns Sept. 12

The Midwest Racing Preservation Association will host its 12th annual Meadowdale, Motorsports & Memories Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Raceway Woods, off Route 31 in Carpentersville. It is open to all classic, vintage, exotic, race and street cards of interest.

Display car load-in begins at 9 a.m. It will be held rain or shine. Trophies will be awarded at 2:30 p.m. Dash plaques and goody bags will be awarded to the first 200 cars registered.

The straightway of this "ghost track" comes to life once a year.

There will be a historical speaker series, vendors, food, beverages and fun for the whole family.

It is open to all race and street cars of interest. Awards will be presented to the vehicles that best evoke a passion for automotive excellence.

The association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was formerly know as Meadowdale International Raceways Preservation Association.
