Naperville's Nike Sports Complex to host Chicago Pickleball Open Sept. 3-6

Naperville Park District recently completed a renovation of the Nike Sports Complex tennis courts, which were resurfaced and re-striped to include the addition of eight lined pickleball courts on the four north tennis courts.

Nike Sports Complex now includes four dedicated pickleball courts and eight pickleball courts on the tennis courts, which are open for drop-in use when not programmed.

Please note that pickleball players must bring their own nets if they intend to use the tennis courts for pickleball.

The Nike pickleball and tennis courts will be closed Thursday, Sept. 3 through Sunday, Sept. 6, for the Chicago Pickleball Open.

This tournament is hosted and organized by Chicago Metro Pickleball, which is renting the Nike Sports Complex tennis and pickleball courts from Naperville Park District for the weekend event.

The event organizers worked to receive permission from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to host the event, which will include fewer players from last year and limitations on spectators.

Signs will be posted at Nike Sports Complex, 288 W. Diehl Road, to inform residents of the September closure.
