Northern Kane Chamber moves annual golf outing to Aug. 28

As the Northern Kane County Chamber celebrates its 40th anniversary, it is moving “FORE-ward” with its annual golf outing to be held on Friday, Aug. 28, at Whisper Creek Golf Course in Huntley.

Due to current conditions during this unprecedented time, the role of the chamber has never been more important to the community and local businesses.

“We have been working extremely hard to adapt to the changes while continuing to offer support to our local businesses who are interested in continuing this popular annual event,” said Melissa Hernandez, president, Northern Kane County Chamber. “With the assistance of Whisper Creek General Manager Dominic Flood, we have made changes to our golf outing so all precautions and state guidelines will be met to make this a safe and successful event.”

Cost for the outing is $140 per individual golfer or $560 for a foursome.

Package includes: practice range, 18 holes of golf with cart, continental breakfast, lunch at the turn, two drink tickets on the golf course and a gift card to a local business in lieu of the banquet dinner.

The outing will offer a variety of fun, challenging games and tickets to win prizes.

Area businesses have chipped in as sponsors of the golf outing, including: B and B Maintenance, Watering Hole Sponsor; Comcast, Restaurant Gift Card Sponsor; Weed Man, Golf Ball Sponsor; Payroll Vault, Beverage Cart Sponsor; and Eagle Sponsors of Elgin Community College, Closest to the Pin and Northwestern Medicine, Ball Launcher; and Birdie Sponsors of Future LinkIT and Braasch Automotive.

Members of the golf outing committee are: chair-Kristi Kozar of Polynt Composites; Patricia Mierisch of Certified Emergency Response Team of Huntley; Lori-Ann Haiges of Polynt Composites; and Dan Hickey of All State Insurance.
