St. Charles Public Library reopening July 15

The St. Charles Public Library will reopen for limited services beginning Wednesday, July 15.

Patrons will be able to browse through the collection, check out materials, use a computer and copy services, and more. Reservations are required.

To ensure patron and staff safety, the following guidelines are in place: all visitors must wear masks; hand sanitizer used upon arrival; receive a contactless temperature check; practice safe social distancing; and follow directional signage in the library.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.

Frequently-touched surfaces will be sanitized.

Carts will be available for items that are touched, but not checked out.

Plastic barriers are at all service desks.

Patrons are encouraged to continue to place holds through the library's website, www.scpld.org, and once notified, quickly pick up those items.

Reservations can be made up to a week in advance and are limited to one visit per day.

For more information or to make a reservation, call (630) 584-0076.

The library is located temporarily at the old Haines Middle School at 305 S. Ninth St. in St. Charles.
