The Hanover Township board of trustees at the July 7 board meeting approved the appointments of Peggy Bucaro, Carla Fruhauf and Thomas Lathara to the township's Senior Citizens Services Committee and Jennifer De Lao to the Committee on Youth.

"We are appreciative of these residents answering the call to work with and advise the board on a number of important issues currently facing our community," said Brian P. McGuire, Hanover Township supervisor. "All residents are encouraged to apply for membership on the township's committees."

Serving her second term on the committee, Fruhauf is an active volunteer at the center, assisting in the Stars N Stripes Café and at the front desk. A resident of Bartlett, she is a retired executive assistant, having served in several different corporate offices.

Also reappointed, Lathara currently serves as secretary to the committee and is a resident of Streamwood. He is a retired software consultant and a member of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church in Lombard.

A sophomore at Streamwood High School, De Lao looks forward to adding another youth perspective to the committee in addressing the current needs of students in the township.
