Deadline nears for Dundee Lions Art Contest

It's not too late for youth, 10 to 14 years of age, to get into the Dundee Township Lions Club poster contest.

The artwork must be original and be inspired by the theme "We are all in this together."

The deadline for submitting work is Monday, July 20.

Artwork must be no larger than 8 ½ inches by 11.

All media accepted (chalk, crayon, ink, paint, etc).

Only one entry per student. Work must be original and by one student.

Participants agree to allow Dundee Lions to use their names and artwork for promotional and publicity purposes.

A total of nine prizes will be awarded with three (gold-$60 silver $40, bronze $30) in each category. The People's Choice is determined by voting on Lions Facebook page by "liking" favorite artwork. Other prizes awarded by judges on creativity and patriotism.

Winning artwork will be displayed at the Fox River Valley Public Library Distric in East Dundee.

Photo of artwork must be submitted in jpeg format and sent to jimbarbmcclung@att.net

Artwork requires student and parent/guardian name(s).

"We Serve" is the motto of Lions International and service to community is emphasized in the Dundee Township Lions Club. Special emphasis is placed on "Sight & Sound" projects, but the club has contributed money, member's time and talents to hundreds of worthwhile community projects in its 83-year history.
