Lombard's Falak Restaurant offers drive-in service
Masood Ali and Mannan Khan recently opened a new restaurant and banquet hall in the heart of the Indo-Pak community. The grand opening of Falak Restaurant and Banquets, 233 E. Roosevelt Road in Lombard, was held on Friday, July 3. The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and dinner to the family, friends and invited guests.
As Ali and Khan believe in "safety first" for customers and staff, they decided to launch a drive-in restaurant. The drive-in restaurant will help in social distancing to prevent spread of COVID-19.
Ali said that "We have restaurant, carryout and banquets service, but had to think out of the box and launch the drive-in service."
We are open for indoor 25% of limited seating. Currently, they are taking bookings for a banquet hall for 50 people as well as bookings for outdoor parties at a very reasonable price.
Invited guests were from medical procession, education, sports, and business field including Iftekhar Shareef, community activist and chairman, FIA); former FIA presidents Keerthi Ravoori, Ajay Agnihotri and Sanhita Agnihotri; Dr. Chandrakant Modi; Khurram Syed, Samina Shoukatulla, Islamic Foundation board member; Rizwan ul Haque, board member, Masjid UL Huda, Schaumburg; Sajid Ali, IT manager, Advocate group; Syed Ansar Rizvi, GEO TV; Syed Khalil Ullah, South Asian Media, and Suresh Bodiwala, Asian Media USA.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Iftekhar Shareef praised owner Masood Ali for his catering for community events and large functions for past 15 years. "Masood Ali bought this banquet hall and restaurant from Shri Surender Jain of Viceroy of India Restaurant. This place is known to the community for several years," Shareef said. "During this tough time of COVID, it's hard to run a banquet hall without the support of our community."
