Curbside pickup now available at Dundee Library

The Fox River Valley Public Library District now offers curbside pickup at the Dundee Library location for patrons who are anxious to get their hands on books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks and video games. The library is located at 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee.

Visit www.frvpld.info and place the items wanted on hold. Only items that are physically present at the Dundee Library are available. All materials will be checked out for six weeks.

Patrons will receive a notification when the items are ready to be picked up. The notification will come in the method requested when the patron signed up for a library card: text, email or phone call. View or change this by signing in at My Account and clicking on "Contact Information and Preferences."

Come to the Dundee Library where materials will be delivered to your car. Staff will ask for last name and the last four digits of the library card number.

No appointment is necessary. Items will be held waiting for pickup for two weeks.

Curbside pickup hours are: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Home delivery is still available as well.

Library materials that were checked out before the library closed due to the shelter in place order are due on Wednesday, July 1. Items can only be returned to the drop box at the Dundee Library. The drop box at the Dundee Library has been relocated to the first median in the parking lot to make it easier for patrons to drive up and drop off their materials.

Check out the library's YouTube channel with online story times, craft programs, "Tween Tuesdays," "Trivia Night" and more.

The district serves 70,000 residents of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Gilberts, and parts of Algonquin.
