NAMI Barrington Area Launches LGBTQ+ Online Support Group

NAMI LGBTQ+ Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for LGBTQ+ adults living with mental illness. You will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by NAMI-trained facilitators who have been there.

You must register at www.namiillinois.org/online-support-group-registration-information/nami-lgbtq-support-group for each meeting no later than 4:30 p.m. on the day of the support group meeting in order to receive the Zoom meeting link by 5 p.m., the evening of that session.

This online support group will be capped at 15 participants. You will receive an email confirmation with a link to participate after you complete the registration form.

Per NAMI's guidelines for offering NAMI programs online, we are collecting the registration information so that the support group facilitator has a means of contacting and supporting attendees if they are a danger to themselves or others. The information you provide will only be used by support group facilitators for this express purpose and will be deleted after the support group online session.

For privacy reasons, no recordings of any kind will be allowed during any support group session. Facilitators will not permit recording via the Zoom. By completing the registration, you acknowledge that you will not use any device to record a session in which you participate.
