Two Hampshire Elementary students pen over 100 cards of support

Two young students from Hampshire Elementary School are being recognized by Principal Lisa Van Wageningen for their recent “Acts of Kindness.”

Ace Mikos, a first-grader, and Teddi Mikos, a kindergarten student, have written a combined total of over 100 letters and cards over the last four weeks to members of their community spreading love and support.

In return, they received dozens of responses, some fun treats, and even gained a couple pen-pals.

An idea from their mom to build on writing and handwriting skills did much more; it taught empathy, kindness, and friendship.

Thank you Ace and Teddi for going above and beyond and making the Hampshire and surrounding communities very proud!
