LF/LB Chamber gift card program a chance to help small businesses

The LF/LB Chamber of Commerce has created a program to help support local businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.

Through #WithYouLFLB, gift cards to local businesses can be purchased online with proceeds forwarded directly to the businesses. The program is designed to give consumers the opportunity to assist local, small businesses while their locations can only offer limited services or their doors remain closed.

Gift cards can be purchased online at WithYouLFLB.givesmart.com

"This is a really difficult time for all of us, but particularly for those who own small businesses and are experiencing lost revenue as they observe the Illinois order to shelter in place," LF/LB Chamber Executive Director Joanna Rolek said.

"The chamber is fortunate to have recently acquired the technology to offer this service to local businesses, and we thought, 'what better time than now to launch this program?'

"It's a great opportunity for everyone to invest in our community and the health of our local businesses and support our friends until we can walk in their doors again," she said.
