Indian Trails Library suspends drive-up service; building closed until March 30

The Indian Trails Public Library closed its main building and branch to public entry, March 14, in an effort to slow the spread of the Coronavirus by reducing the gathering of groups.

Originally, the library hoped to keep the drive-up window open to serve members, but after discussions with staff and the board of trustees, the decision was made to close the drive-up service at 5 pm, Monday, March 16 with a tentative reopening of Monday, March 30.

Online services, such as downloadable, streaming and learning resources, will be available remotely with an Indian Trails Library card. Materials can be returned to the library in the outside book drops. Materials will automatically renew and there are no fines for late material should people wish to stay home.

The main library is also a polling place and will open for voting access March 17, 6 am-7 pm. Voters are requested to access the polling place on the south side of the building, just west of the parking lot and facing the park.

Members can call 847.459.4100 or visit www.itpld.org for the latest information.
