Judson Theatre to 'Bring on Tomorrow' with 'Fame Jr.' musical March 19-21

Judson University's Theatre program will present "Fame Jr." as its spring production.

The show, based on the hit musical and film, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, March 19-21, in the Thulin Auditorium in Thompson Hall, 1151 N. State St., Elgin. There also will be a matinee show at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21.

"Fame Jr." is an adaptation of the original musical that premiered in 1988 in Miami, Fla. It was also performed off-Broadway at the Little Schubert Theatre on 42nd Street from 2003-2004.

This energetic show, filled with dancing and song, follows a group of students from their freshman year through their senior year at a performing arts high school in New York City in the 1980s.

Professor Kimberly Schmidt will direct Judson's production of "Fame Jr." and Judson alumnus Adam Moxness, Class of 2018, will choreograph.
