Elgin Kiwanis, Salvation Army distribute coats to U-46 students

This year, The Salvation Army Elgin Corps and the Community Crisis Center distributed coats to schools in Elgin Area School District U-46 via its "Coat Closet" program.

One of those schools was Harriet Gifford Elementary School in Elgin and this particular coat closet was sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Elgin.

Club members recently had a chance to visit the school and see the coat closet.

Thanks to everyone who supports the Elgin Kiwanis. This is one of the many ways the club is helping local youth.
