District 212 hosts CNA Program White Coat Ceremony

Students who recently completed District 212's Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program were honored at a White Coat Ceremony on Thursday afternoon, January 23, in the library at West Leyden High School.

Program participants take related science classes and gain hands-on experience by completing CNA clinical training at long term care facilities. Course completion qualifies students to take the Illinois Department of Public Health

Certified Nurse's Assistant Exam. The program is conducted in partnership with Triton College.

Frank Holthouse, Leyden's Director of Careers and Community Outreach, and Sandra Bowling, teacher and program coordinator at Triton College, work together as CNA program managers.
