Mindful Waste joins Green Drinks Barrington

What do you think that you would find in the trash can at your school's cafeteria? Green Drinks welcomes Mindful Waste founders Jennifer Kaintz and Renee Blue to share their experience. Join us at 7 pm on Wednesday, January 29, upstairs at McGonigal's, 150 S. Cook St., Barrington.

Mindful Waste is a non-profit organization based in Barrington dedicated to finding solutions to the global issue of food waste at the local level. Jennifer and Renee watched the school lunch programs that their own children participated in and knew that they could make an impact to improve those operations. Their message is straightforward: eliminating food waste through education, prevention and recovery. Learn more at mindfulwaste.org or facebook.com/mindfulwaste.

In 2017, Renee brought their message to the stage at a Tedx Talk hosted at the Barrington Area Library. Since then, this energetic duo has expanded their waste audits to Lake Zurich District 95, McHenry County College and more. Don't miss this free and informative event outlining how to reduce waste at home and away!
