Schaumburg Library hosts early New Year's party for kids

Families may welcome the new year with a Noon Year's Eve Party from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, Dec. 30, at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Festivities will be held in various areas on the first floor. During the event, children can engage in a New Year's STEAM project in Workshop, a craft project at tables in kidsZone, bingo in the Craft Room, and a dance party at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the Program Room.

No registration is required, but free tickets required for the dance party are available in kidsZone 30 minutes before the program.

At noon, everyone will gather in the Commons for a countdown and balloon drop. Kids are welcome to catch and keep the balloons as they fall from the ceiling.
