College of DuPage is taking the stress out of paying for college

Recently named one of the top affordable colleges by the SR Education Group, the College of DuPage is making it even more convenient for students to achieve their academic goals by offering flexible payment options.

"The cost of college is a concern for nearly every student, and few people have the resources to simply write a check for the full cost of tuition each semester," said College of DuPage Interim Controller David Virgilio. "That's why COD has worked hard to make our institution one of the most affordable community colleges in the state with options that fit every student budget."

Designed to bridge the gap between the financial resources of students and their families and the cost of education, students who register early for spring 2020 term receive a waived payment plan enrollment fee of $25 and pay a down payment as low as 10 percent with the option to extend their payments over a period of six months.

The earlier students register, the bigger the benefit.

By enrolling in a payment plan, students can pay their balance in convenient monthly installments, set up automatic payments using a credit card, debit card or electronic check, and receive email and text reminders about upcoming payments.
