Naperville Park District police invite donations for 2019 Toys for Tots

Members of the Naperville Park District Police invite the community to contribute new, unwrapped toys for the 2019 DuPage County Toys for Tots program, hosted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Toys will be collected at various locations now through Saturday, Dec. 14.

"Purchasing and dropping off a new toy is an easy way to brighten the holidays for children in need in our area," said Chief Carl Schnibben. "We are grateful for the generosity shown by the community each year that we have hosted this campaign."

Collection sites are:

• Naperville Park District Administration Building, 320 W. Jackson Ave. Hours of operations are: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday;

• Central Maintenance Facility, 427 Martin Ave. Hours of operations are: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday;

• Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave. Hours of operation are: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday;

• Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive. Hours of operation are: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday;

• 95th Street Center, 2244 W. 95th St. Hours of operation are: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday

• Knoch Knolls Nature Center, 320 Knoch Knolls Road. Hours of operation through November are: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. In December, hours are the same except that the Nature Center will be closed on Sundays.

Santa House, presented by Woody Buick GMC, is located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Webster Street on the Naperville Riverwalk. Toys may be dropped off at Santa House for Toys for Tots Nov. 30 through Dec. 14. Check www.napervilleparks.org/santahouse for event days and hours.

Toys for Tots accepts only new, unwrapped toys. Please do not donate stuffed animals or toy weapons.
