Get in the holiday spirit at Lake Forest Cocoa Crawl

The Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce has announced the Lake Forest Cocoa Crawl, a festive kickoff to the holiday shopping season, coinciding with Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30, from 1-5 p.m. throughout downtown Lake Forest.

"We're thrilled to be hosting this event that is just another component of our 'Think Local First' initiative," LF/LB Chamber Executive Director Joanna Rolek said.

"Throughout the year we encourage the community to shop local and support our fabulous businesses. This is just one more opportunity for us to do that as the holiday shopping season gets underway."

Shoppers are invited to pick up a passport at the Cocoa Crawl Station behind the Christmas tree on Market Square and visit participating businesses listed on the passport to collect stamps.

Shoppers who turn in stamped passports are eligible to win prizes from the businesses they visited. Winners will be announced Monday, Dec. 3.

The festive Holly Trolley will shuttle shoppers throughout downtown from Chief's on the south end to Forest & Found on the north, courtesy of Northern Trust. An electronic map pinpointing chamber member businesses will be accessible on smartphones.
