Palatine veteran to speak at St. Theresa event

St. Theresa Parish and School is proud to introduce Specialist Pete Pesce, this year's veteran and keynote speaker for the Veterans Day ceremony.

Pesce served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1976. He was assigned to the 374th Convalescent Unit, which included doctors, medics, dentists and surgeons. Pesce received an Honorable Discharge in 1976, and was promoted to the rank of Specialist 4.

Pesce attended Catholic schools for 16 years, culminating in receiving his bachelor's degree in business from DePaul University in 1970. He spent the next 42 years in business serving in the human resources profession.

During his career, he held the position of chief human resources officer for three international professional consulting firms and one U.S. bank.

Currently, Pesce is married to his wife Elizabeth and they reside in Palatine. They are the proud parents of seven children and 11 grandchildren. Pesce currently serves on the board of Fifth Third Bank in Chicago and was honored to be elected as Lifetime board of trustees member of DePaul University.
