Friends to host fall book sale Oct. 17-19 at Dundee Library
The Friends of the Fox River Valley Public Library District will hold its fall book sale on Oct. 17-19.
Sale hours will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.
The Friends will be selling newly donated materials, including hard covers, paperbacks, romance novels, and children's books.
The sale is held in the lower level meeting room of the Dundee Library, 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee.
The prices are: hard covers, $2; paperbacks, $1; romance paperbacks, three for $1; and children's books, 25 cents. There is a Book Buyer's Scanner Fee of $10.
They will accept cash or check only.
On Friday and Saturday, bring a nonperishable item for the FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville and receive one free paperback book for each donation (limit 10). They cannot accept food donations that have past the expiration date.
On Saturday only, don't forget the last hour special - all you can fit in a grocery bag for $5 on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

The Friends of the Fox River Valley Libraries are a group of local residents who enjoy helping the library prosper and grow through volunteer and fund-raising activities.
