McCafé Introduces Single-Origin Roast Coffee at McDonald's locations throughout Chicago and Northwest Indiana

Last week, McDonald's of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana began a new McCafé brew - 100% Colombian Medium Roast - available exclusively in restaurants throughout the Chicagoland and Northwestern Indiana area. The new drip coffee will join the McCafé Premium Roast blend already in restaurants - providing customers with more variety for their morning caffeine fix.

The McCafé 100% Colombian Medium Roast is available in restaurants now, but, beginning November 6, the brew will be joined by this year's seasonal selection includes a new McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte and the return of our popular McCafé Donut Sticks, with a delicious twist - a new Chocolate Sauce made perfectly for dipping. Customers across the country can begin making mornings more festive with these sweet treats starting November 6. Both menu items will be available for a limited time throughout the holiday season. More information about this new addition to the holiday beverage line-up is available here.

Good is Brewing with McCafé

The new McCafé 100% Colombian Medium Roast is sustainably sourced and brewed using 100% Colombian Arabica beans. The new roast provides a distinctly different flavor profile and is a multidimensional coffee with dark chocolate, full-body and rounded-acidity, with lingering notes of caramel in the finish.

McDonald's previewed the new McCafé 100% Colombian Medium Roast in more than 100 restaurants in the greater Chicagoland area beginning in May and is now expanding the brew throughout the area as part of the brand's commitment to continue evolving to meet customer expectations.

"People in Chicagoland love coffee and we're pleased to give them another option to add to their morning routine," said Wayne Jarosh a local McDonald's Owner/Operator. "This 100% Colombian Medium Roast provides our guests with another reason to love and enjoy McCafé."

The beans used to brew the new McCafé drip coffee are sourced from the Cauca and Antioquia regions of Colombia. Single-origin coffee is increasingly popular among coffee lovers and means the beans were exclusively sourced from a specific country or region.

The new Colombian Medium Roast is also 100% sustainability sourced through McDonald's Sustainability Improvement Platform (SIP), a partnership with Conservation International, providing the framework to help guide the coffee supply chain in sustainable sourcing and invest in coffee growers and their communities over the long term.

McCafé Premium Roast, which is brewed using a blend of 100% Arabica beans, will continue to be available as the brand expands its McCafé offerings to provide more choices for customers.
