Author Aaron Reynolds visits Prairie View Grade School

Prairie View Grade School in Elgin welcomed author Aaron Reynolds for a school day presentation to students on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Known for his hilarious children's stories and relevant topics, Reynolds delighted both students and staff.

As he read from some of his popular works including: "Caveboy Dave: More Scrawny Than Brawny," "Nerdy Birdy," "Creepy Pair of Underwear," and Caldecott Honor - winning book "Creepy Carrots!," the author brought the stories to life and engaged learners in fun, interactive activities.

The event by the New York Times bestselling author was sponsored by the Prairie View Grade School PTO.

Reynolds spent the day with Prairie View students, and speaking with students in grade level groups (kindergarten to first grade, second and third grade, and fourth and fifth grade) about being an author.
