Prospect Heights library hosts 'Nature Speaks' art exhibit

The Prospect Heights Natural Resources Commission and the Prospect Heights Public Library are co-sponsoring the Prospect Heights Natural Resources Commission's "Commissioners' Art Exhibition" during September in the library's lobby at 12 N. Elm St., in Prospect Heights.

The monthlong library display will feature paintings, drawings, photographs and writings from Commissioners John Kamysz, Dana Sievertson and Chairwoman Agnes Wojnarski. All of the commissioners' artwork depicts various scenes from native areas in Prospect Heights.

"Our paintings are inspired by the restoration sites we maintain throughout Prospect Heights and the surrounding areas," said Kamysz.

"It's a labor of love and a constant source of inspiration," said Sievertson.

The art show opened on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and will run through Monday, Sept. 30.
