Geneva High School announces 2019-20 theater season

Geneva Community High School, 416 McKinley Ave., announces its 2019-2020 theater season.

Geneva's first-ever freshmen play, "James and the Giant Peach," will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in the high school auditorium. The play is based on the book by Roald Dahl and dramatized by Richard R. George. Tickets at the door are $5, $3 for students or free for seniors or children under age 13.

The fall musical will be "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." It will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, Nov. 7-9, in the high school auditorium.

The spring musical will be "Legally Blonde." The performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, March 19-21, and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 22.
