Northwestern Mutual-Chicago awarded National Black MBA Association Chicago Chapter 2019 Corporate Partner of the Year Award

Northwestern Mutual-Chicago has recently been recognized by the Chicago Chapter of the National Black MBA Association with the 2019 Corporate Partner of the Year Award for their meaningful impact on the members of the association and the community.

In its second year of recognition the Corporate Partner of the Year Award recognizes program and event execution, contribution to scholarships, support for the Leaders of Tomorrow program, new hires from the membership and support for other chapter initiatives outside of the company branded programming.

"Northwestern Mutual-Chicago has genuinely collaborated with us to make a shared impact on our members and the greater Chicago community," said Amelia Jackson, MBA, president, National Black MBA Association Chicago Chapter. "It is a meaningful partnership and one we look forward to recognizing with this award as we continue to build upon our shared influence."

NM-Chicago has hosted educational workshops around building financial security, supported the Graduate School of Business reception and attended career fairs.

"Our partnership is meaningful because it allows us to empower and provide educational and career opportunities," said Corey D. McQuade, managing partner of Northwestern Mutual-Chicago. "There is a strong alignment between the association and our firm's vision to create the most financially secure community in Chicago one individual, one family, one business at a time."

The two organizations formed a partnership is 2018 as part of Northwestern Mutual - Chicago's ongoing commitment to professional development by providing career and networking opportunities. The firm, that has offices in Downtown Chicago, Deerfield, Rosemont and Oak Brook, actively recruits candidates from all backgrounds for its financial advisors, financial representatives and staff roles as well as its nationally ranked financial planning internship program.
