Riders wanted to escort Lake County Honor Flight

Riders are wanted to help escort Lake County Honor Flight participants to the airport on Saturday, Aug. 17, and back from the airport on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Lake County Honor Flight transports veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to them.

All motorcyclists are welcome to take part. Two, three or four-wheeled vehicles accepted.

All riders must attend a safety brief before the rides.

The Aug. 17 ride begins with the brief at 3:30 a.m. and departs at 4:15 a.m., from Fosse Park Golf Course, 3124 Argonne Drive, North Chicago. Lineup on the west side of the parking lot.

The Aug. 18 ride begins with the brief at 1:30 p.m. The ride will depart around 2 p.m., from Milwaukee Mitchell Airport, 5300 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bike parking will be available on the north side of baggage claim on the lower level. Other parking will be available north of the main terminal building across from International Arrivals.

No registration is required. These will be police-escorted rides.
