Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Executive Director

The Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce (BGLCC) is pleased to welcome Susan (Suzi) Schoenhoft as their new executive director, effective July 22, 2019. Suzi has strong ties to the Buffalo Grove community and is a graduate of Buffalo Grove High School. She is extremely familiar with the Buffalo Grove and Lincolnshire communities, and has key connections with many area business owners.

"Suzi is adept at wearing many hats, having worked at several small organizations where she honed her leadership, human resources, program development and fundraising skills," said BGLCC Board President Adriane Johnson. "We are confident that her background and varied skill sets will serve our chamber extremely well."

Suzi's career trajectory entails working as a program manager at Blare House, to most recently as executive director for CASA of McHenry County. Additionally, she has an extensive work history in the not-for-profit arena, with considerable experience collaborating and working with boards of directors.

As the executive director for CASA McHenry County, Suzi also developed close ties with local chambers of commerce and participated in ongoing networking and business-related events.

Suzi has 15 years of experience in senior leadership with proven success in the areas of program development, events, grant writing, state audits/surveys, employee satisfaction/retention, and solid interdisciplinary structure. She has proven experience collaborating and interfacing with employees, small businesses, and key community leaders.

She has Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Eastern Illinois University and has taken several masters-level courses at Roosevelt University.
