Glen Ellyn Woman's Club awards scholarships to Glenbard South and West grads

Beginning their 125th year as a philanthropic organization, the Glen Ellyn Woman's Club has provided two scholarships for the 2019 graduating classes of Glenbard South and West high schools.

At the Glenbard South Honors Program, Allysa Paul was presented with her club scholarship. Paul is attending Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering. She is planning on working extremely hard to become a successful female engineer and hopes to someday pay the scholarship forward.

Another scholarship was awarded to Celeste Sevilla of Glenbard West. She will study studio art and gender studies at Juniata College in Huntington, Pennsylvania. A gifted artist, she was awarded the annual District 87 Art Show Purchase Award. Her piece is to be mounted and hung on permanent display at Glenbard West.

The Glen Ellyn Woman's Club increased the amount of their scholarships for 2019 and hope to earn more funds to raise the amount again in 2020.
