'Boo Boo Days' returns to downtown Batavia July 12

Enjoy downtown Batavia during Second Fridays with a night full of food, art, music, fun and more from 6 to 9 p.m. July 12.

Second Fridays are an interactive and vibrant experience around downtown Batavia working to complement the monthly art gallery opening at Water Street Studios.

What's happening in July? "Boo Boo Days!"

Back in the mid-1950s to the late '70s, Windmill City Fest was called Boo Boo Days, an opportunity for downtown retailers to run promotions and sidewalk sales, and the whole community would come out and celebrate summertime in Batavia.

Batavia's downtown retailers will be getting outside to hang out with all of you this Friday night.

Stop by these shops to see their Boo Boo Days promotions: Paula's Couture Consignment; Special Occasions Batavia; Gun Barrel Coffee; Six + Cypress; Acosta's Consignment; The Salvaged Heart Vintage Wares; Beardsgaard Barbers; The Tea Tree; Batavia Depot Museum; Shine (Batavia!); Healing Arts Metaphysical Center Inc.; Black Cactus Print House; 715 Vintage; Bird is the Word; The Book Shop Batavia; Instrument Exchange; and BeeAttitudes Antiques and Collectibles.

For a map of the shops and a list of the promotions, visit downtownbatavia.com/second-fridays/ or www.facebook.com/bataviamainstreet/

Also on Friday night, stop by the Rivers Edge Bar & Grill, 12 N. River St., for live music with Sophistafunk at 8 p.m.

The band recently made their debut at Electric Forest 2019 in Rothbury, Michigan. Check them out at SophistafunkBand.com. Tickets for the 21-or-older show are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Visit www.theriversedgebatavia.com.
