Libertyville Real Estate Agent Lynn Fairfield Gives Back to Her Community

Local real estate broker Lynn Fairfield, of RE/MAX suburban, is passionate about selling homes and supporting the communities where she lives and works.

"Giving back is part of my core belief in supporting the community I live and work in. I support many charities, from Northern Illinois Food Bank, local sports teams, Habitat for Humanity and Children's Miracle Network, to name a few," said Fairfield.

On August 5, Fairfield will support the third annual RE/MAX Suburban Golf Outing, which takes place at Royal Melbourne Golf Club. The fundraiser benefits the Children's Miracle Network, with all proceeds going to support Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Last year the event raised over $22000 for the charity.

Furthermore, Fairfield donates a percentage of each commission she receives from every home sale to the "Miracle Home Program," which benefits Children's Miracle Network. She has been named a "Miracle Agent" by participating in the donation program.Children's Miracle Network is a charity I have supported for over 25 years. It directly impacts our community by helping families and children with medical help, care and support.

This summer, Fairfield is also co-sponsoring two local sporting teams: the Avon Township 10U N60 Youth Baseball League, and the Grayslake Youth Baseball Association. "Supporting community sports creates an important outlet for local youth," added Fairfield. "Sports are a fundamental way kids learn about teamwork, cooperation and values."

In addition, on August 3 and 4, Fairfield will be sponsoring a community garage sale in Haryan Farms, Deer Point Trails and Misty Hill, and West Trail Subdivisions in Grayslake. The garage sales are an important annual event, and a great way for neighbors to meet one another, according to Fairfield.

Fairfield also took the #smashsmardchallenge at RE/MAX Suburban and helped raise over $3,000 to bring awareness and necessary funding for this ultra-rare disease that currently has no treatment. Spinal muscular atrophy with respiratory distress type 1 (SMARD1) is an inherited condition that causes muscle weakness and respiratory failure typically beginning in infancy.

Fairfield says she has grown to know and love the neighborhoods she works in around northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin over the past 30 years. "Being able to give back to these communities is an honor," concluded Fairfield.
