Local Pre-School Gives Students Extra Year of Growth, Development

Barrington, IL - Atonement Christian Day School (ACDS) in Barrington, Illinois announced additional openings in their flourishing Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten program. Parents looking for a truly seamless full day Kindergarten or Junior Kindergarten program are invited to tour the ACDS facilities to get a complete picture of how a full day program would work for their children.

"Both of my boys went through the full day kindergarten program and I feel it not only gave them each an opportunity to thrive and flourish as leaders, but it has prepared them for the structure of full day learning in elementary school," stated Stephanie Savage, a parent of two ACDS alumni. "They have both benefited from the individualized attention and the small class size and the familiar setting eased their way into more structured learning."

For parents looking for an extra year of preparation before starting kindergarten, the ACDS program includes a Junior Kindergarten option. For students with later birthdays, the extra year of learning is a priceless gift.

"Parents universally tell me that the extra year of preparation was a fantastic gift for their children," says Cindy Clanton, ACDS Director. "No one ever regrets giving their children the extra year of social, emotional and foundational learning."

Class sizes are intentionally kept small in the Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten programs to allow for customized learning and deeper exploration into student interests. Students who participate in the full day option receive healthy and balanced meals and snacks as part of the program, as well as structured physical education and play time.

ACDS also coordinates with the Barrington 220 Early Learning Center to provide additional services for students who qualify. Parents looking for a complete full day Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten option are encouraged to call the school office at (847) 382-6360.
