'Thirsty Thursday' summer kickoff fundraiser Summer kickoff fundraiser to benefit the Palatine Township Senior Center

Are you thirsty and ready to enjoy a summer evening? Come on over to Twin Lakes with some friends for "Thirsty Thursday" from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, at 1200 E. Twin Lakes Drive, in Palatine.

The Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council will be "FUNdraising One Beer at a Time" for an excellent cause. Enjoy drinks, food, music, games and raffles under the tent and on the deck overlooking the water. Presale tickets are $25 each or $22 for five or more, or $30 at the door. Tickets include an appetizer buffet from 6 to 7:30 p.m., complimentary Miller beer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and a door prize ticket.

The 50/50 raffle tickets will be available for $10 each or three for $20 at the event or presale and you don't need to be present to win. Raffle tickets are also available for baskets for $2 each, three for $5, 10 for $10 or 25 for $20 at the event. Prizes include several amazing beer baskets, gift certificates to restaurants, water parks and more.

Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council provides programs and services which support older adults and their families by encouraging independence, well-being and connection to the community. The Recreation, Education, Health and Wellness, Noon Dining, Home Delivered Meals, Adult Day Care, and Social Services programs are available to persons 50 and older and their families who live in Palatine Township and the surrounding communities in the North and Northwest suburbs.
