Geneva library names May Artist of the Month

The Geneva Public Library announces the artist for the month for May is Kathleen Prendergast.

Prendergast began taking art lessons following her retirement four years ago.

 

She has received drawing instruction from a renowned Disney illustrator at the School of Art in Geneva; private lessons with pastel artist Pam Hamilton; multiple classes in pastel and colored pencil at the DuPage Art Institute in Wheaton; oil painting classes at the Art Box in St Charles, and more.

Her work has been exhibited at Geneva Library, DuPage Art League, Pop Up Gallery in St Charles, and the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, Fla.

Geneva Public Library seeks local artists to display their work in the art gallery on a monthly basis.
